What a day - but a good day. We spent a vast portion of it with my Mom - and she was in rare form. During lunch she looked over at me and said - "what job do you do here" - and I told her my job was being her son - she looked over at me, raised her eyebrows and said "you are doing a good job". I had to go up to her house early this morning and get some of her summer clothes - and earrings - ALWAYS earrings. I am not he best judge of what clothes to bring up for her - but shorts are shorts and tops are tops as far as I am concerned. I brought up her nice gold earrings - thinking she would be pleased, tickled and everything else - well obviously there are rules to which earrings you wear in the summer and I was told the rules - and they are as follows in case anybody out there needs this information - "no gold earrings in the summer - light colored ones, silver and colors" - well of course and how foolish of me not to know that - but I do now!! When I was looking for things I came across some old pictures when my Mom was a younger Mom and how I remember her. She was always dressed up - and beautiful in my eyes. I miss her and cherish every day with her. The house we grew up in is empty and quiet - and when you walk the floors creek a little bit. The puppy playpen was still set up next to her recliner where I would find her watching TV when I came home from school - we had a caretaker there during the day - and the caretaker would babysit those puppies too. Funny how life changes in a moment! Well here are some pictures of a younger Mom - this was in Niagara Falls - and her and my Dad went there to re-visit where they had their honeymoon. They drove through Erie to visit me - I was in school at the time and I begged them to take me with them -- WHAT -- you get one honeymoon after you have kids!
