What a day! I am humbled by all the greetings, kind words, blessings and simple HBD messages you all sent. Thank you thank you. It is truly a remarkable feeling. Honestly it is not lip service, I really appreciate it. I spent the first part of the day at a dear friends funeral celebrating her wonderful but lost too soon life. Commonly at these things you pause to think of the impact you have made and what we all will one day leave behind as our legacy. Having this coupled with a birthday escalates my mind into overdrive and I thought who do you think you are, who are you and how are you perceived. So in my reflection (in short version) I decided that I am not going to be frustrated by closed mindedness, self centered-ness, and ill spirits. I cannot control, change or manipulate the next man but what I can do is control, change and manipulate Cybill. So this year I will continue to work on being kind, thoughtful, positive and model the behaviors that I value in others. I will not be perfect at it but know in my heart I am trying and hopefully in my efforts I will succeed more than I falter. The beauty is that we are always growing and have the ability to redefine how we respond, think and act. Extend grace as it has been freely extended to you! God is amazing and changes hearts and minds.
