What a day: Today while going through Moms mail and writing checks, I opened what I thought was her medical insurance premium statement. Instead it was a bill from the medication part, it seems that on 1 of her medications, she owed 1 penny for her part of the payment.As I sat there in shock, I couldnt resist calling the company, I asked the representative you honestly expect me to write a check for a penny ? Her response was, well you can always file a grievance. REALLY for a penny, needless to say, no cash would be accepted. So now I have done something for the 1st time. I would really love to know, how much they spent to have a bill printed for 1 stinking penny. That my friends is one of the many things that is wrong with our Health Care. I have to wonder if I had written it for 2 cents, would Mom have gotten a refund ? What a crazy world we live in. O. K. rant over.
