What a day yesterday and what a night! Something Ive never been a - TopicsExpress

What a day yesterday and what a night! Something Ive never been a part of before, cancelling a show due to a power failure and doing this DURING THE SHOW!! We are so blessed with so many awesome customers. They hung in there as the folks from the National Dance Company of Ireland did all they could do, as the show went on in a more acoustic flair. Then the drive home was to worst of the year - Lee Ann following close behind me as we had driven two cars. I prayed from the minute we left the campus until we pulled in the driveway one hour later. When I woke up yesterday morning, I NEVER expected the day to turn out like that! But in the midst of it all, there was the very real peace of God. As we prayed for the power to go back on (which finally happened at 9:15pm), the peace of God was there. And as we drove home in incredibly treacherous conditions, the peace of God was there. The book of Isaiah tells us, You will keep in perfect peace all who trust in You, whose thoughts are fixed on You. In the midst of all of the crazy days that we have, God will give us His supernatural peace. Our Lord tells us, Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. We know that peace is Gods will for us. Most of the New Testament letters, each word inspired by the Holy Spirit, begin with something like Grace and peace to you. Always remember: Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
