What a delightful surprise to see this new 5-star review on Yelp today. :) Michael is a great trainer and really cares about the work he does. After some research, I opted to go with Michael to help us with our Maltese/Yorkshire mix who had developed separation anxiety. He also ended up working with our new puppy on some basic items so that both dogs were attended to. Michael was very kind, knowledgeable, and does a really good job reading the behavior and movements of dogs. He addressed all of our questions, has an online journal you correspond with him on between sessions, and our dogs listened to him so well. It was kind of amazing to see how responsive they were to him vs. us, but thats why hes the professional :o) Im proud to say that our Maltese/Yorkshire no longer gets upset when we leave him at home. I believe that getting another dog and having that companionship helped, but also the techniques Michael showed us played a big role too. I feel that we wouldnt be where we are if we hadnt brought Michael on to help. In my opinion, Michaels services are best used if you have specific issues to tackle so that you are maximizing the time you spend with him. If youre looking to address multiple basic obedience training, you are better served going to someone who offers a specific training package for that. Michael specializes in aggression and fearfulness, but obviously can work on other items like separation anxiety as he did with us. Overall, we were very pleased with our experience and he is a great pivate trainer to work with.
