What a difference a week has made in the Lakes region, where fall - TopicsExpress

What a difference a week has made in the Lakes region, where fall foliage is now in full display! Its still a couple weeks out from peak color, but there are vibrant reds, bright yellows and burnt oranges plastered across the landscape in bold strokes. A stunning drive for this week will be Route 28 in Pittfield and Barnstead, where our leaf peepers are reporting ooh and aah levels of foliage. If you continue on into Alton there is even more spectacular color to be seen at the Merrymeeting Marsh, just before the Alton Rotary. In the Newfound Lake area, the leaves are also changing at a rapid pace. Hebron is reporting brilliant glowing orange, yellow, gold and auburn and there are outstanding views from Paradise Point Audubon Center on the dock. visitnh.gov/4-seasons/fall-harvest/foliage/lakes-region.aspx
