What a disgraceful display of a diplomatic farce we have seen - TopicsExpress

What a disgraceful display of a diplomatic farce we have seen today when the Prime Minister rolling out the carpet for the former notorious military czar . Did the Prime Minister not aware of who he really was going to meet ? Unmitigated dislocation and abject poverty still engulf most of the war-torn north and arbitrary arrest were also rampant in many places across the country . This is the current incumbent president who has the curse of blood libel upon for Crime against humanity / Crime against ill-treatment of plenty of political dissenters . I can vividly recall back in 2007 , when the saffron uprising erupted sparked by sky-high spike of petrol putting pressure on buses to raise 6 fold the normal price range at the time combined with the heavy-handedness of police against the Buddist Monks who were being treated as mere animal being forced to retreat from public marching and given ultimatum to disperse from any mass gathering . Cut to the Chase , as we all knew , the Monks and all dissenters who openly agitated for regime Change met by swathes of Police forces got beaten badly by wood batons and got arrested many of them who were having the scare of their lives in the face of the historic crackdown . From that 2007 uprising , it was reported that up to hundreds lost their lives on account of political views and many wind up their fate in jail where many of them received ill-treatment and harsh punishment during their prison time . The president that we learned today received the red carpet reception in the 10 Downing Street was at the forefront of the military crackdown in 2007 . Furthermore , when the Nargis Hurricane hit the West Southern region a year later , every top brass at the helm of the Authoritarian State including the current quasi-civilian president went AWOL over the dislocation of thousands of citizens who were left without shelters or protection and the death of many lives by the force of Mother Nature . Quite a few of them received a very limited protection and financial aid by the state while the West wanted to ship their aid and emergency medical specialists to subside a pall of tragedy imbuing the region and the nation as a whole , the military junta government adamantly refuse to let them in . And needless to say the recent resurgence of ethnic/ government tensions drawn into conflict a little over six months ago in which we learned that the ethnic-government conflict have prompted many locals to free from their homes into wilderness in light of a large-scale military assault launched by the quasi-civilian government forces against the ethnic rebels across the Chinese-Myanmar border . And the now recently case we have seen in Rakhine state ethnic / racial warfare against the illegal immigrants . In short ,the present quasi civilian government cannot be trusted to the fullest for what it is and what it really stands for behind closed door . The pantomime of moral purity displayed by the current president of Myanmar is nauseating at best . It was all a political smoke screen to smother his unfanny past to dupe weak-minded and shallow politicians like David Cameron into a series of sham political reforms and draw him to his trall . It was a complete ruse to lie bare faced in the eyes of the west that the country has embarked on a significant transformation since 2011 , all the while many Human Rights activists were decrying for the scarcity of freedom and Human Rights in many places across the country where arbitrary arrest and intelligence services bugging on any black listed citizen remain to be elusively secretive . And the sadly truth is that the unscrupulous opportunistic western politicians who will regard the country none other than to look at it and seize every available opportunities to overrun it by massive exploitation for their businesses and corporatists will place their Business interest far above the much touted and lobbied Human Rights .
