What a dream I woke up from this morning. It was the second dream in a few weeks to give me such a sense meaning and interconnectedness. It was definitely impactful enough for me to share on FB... In this dream, I was a time traveler in 1988 who met a post high school group of people. I fell in love with this girl who began to have faith that I was not of this time. We both began to learn how absolutely lost we were in our own ways yet relied on each other for the growth that was needed. I taught her not to worry about the future as I spoke of wondrous things on the horizon, and she brought to me a sense of closeness that could never perish. When it was my time to go, we drove up to a bridge over the ocean, and I so vividly remember how difficult it was to say goodbye. My time was up, and that was the only fact with which she could cope. And even though an experience of such grandiosity would last beyond a lifetime there and here, it was my time to move forward. I knew I had to plunge myself in the deep waters in order to rip through time with holding on to hope that I would not drown in the unknown. I was beyond anxious and my faith was trembling. But feeling her squeezing my hand and turning to see her face one last time reassured me that were all connected and somehow and some way this wasnt truly goodbye. I leaped out of the car and remember closing my eyes so tightly as I dropped endlessly into an abyss. When I hit the water, I do not remember the cold nor the wetness. My eyes held tight in darkness as I prayed to be awakened in my time. In that moment, I slowly opened my eyes and I was awake, lying in my bed, fully astonished. I woke up knowing it was a dream, but truly feeling that I was back in my time. In my life Ive had many dreams of love and many moments of an abstract wholeness, but I have never experienced the end of a dream seamlessly becoming my awakening.
