What a f....up world this is sometimes... Just read an article about a drug with a very high success rate (upto 95%) for Hepatitis c ( and...why I read that article ? no idea, dont have it I hope). Problem is; a drug thats estimated to cost approx 150 USDs to manufacture is being sold at 85.000 USDs per treatment !!! These guys,, they do like to make money ! According to wikipedia, this high jump is not directly related to cost of creating, researching the product, but instead, priced on how much it can save the health care systems in the world compared to normal treatment. 85.000 USDs ?? Per person, for a 3 month dose ?
