What a fabulous Day!! Reached Madurai today after travelling close to 3500 km. The city of Temples. Visited a very unique temple first- Aravind Eye Care Hospital. The world renowned hospital started by Dr V which has revolutionized eye care in entire world. Had an interactive session and complete Facility Visit. Nearly 50 Lakhs patients cured till date.. The perfect example of how one mans determination can indeed change the world!! Met Jaysri Morvolo Riddle after nearly a year and revived wonderful memories of the Indian School of Business. Got to try the Madurai special Desert JigarThanda.. Delicious..Next we came to know that train departure had been delayed and so got a chance to visit the World Famous Madurai Meenaxi Temple thanks to generosity of JY organizing Team. Seeing people standing in long ques and paying forcefully for the Darshan was reminded of PK and realized the huge effect that movie has made on my conscience! The 3500 year old temple undoubtedly is an architectural marvel with the city built around it in concentric squares. A lot more however lies to be done to promote tourism and cleanliness!
