What a fabulous day at the Governors Mansion in Baton Rouge celebrating the 600 children who were adopted through the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services this year! It was so sweet to see the boys dressed in their sharp suits and the littlest kiddos bundled up with their forever families. I want to say THANK YOU to everyone in Southwest Louisiana who has adopted or is in the process of making this life-changing decision. Its my passion and joy to share segments on KPLC bringing awareness to the needs in our community. I was so humbled to receive this years Media Advocate for Adoption Award for the state. It was an honor to accept the award with my very supportive husband and our excellent social workers from the Lake Charles region.
