What a fantastic NYC trip this was. Great to see so many folks at the American Illustration Party. We also spent some quality time, or rather, Tim at the Society of Illustrators with old friends that feel more like family. On Monday I was fortunate to talk with Wendy Popp and Jordan Jordin Isips classes at Parsons and then later with Steve Brodner,s SVA seniors. And as if thats not enough name dropping Wendy and I shared some lunch with one of my idols, Guy Billout, who was an absolute pleasure to talk with. Alina, and I had such a great time celebrating Andys 13 birthday with her folks, older brother, and his family, as we gorged on desserts at Serendipity 3. Some serious bowling bent down at Brooklyn Bowl, yes THAT bowling alley. Fellow UofA alum and best man, Richard Borge even tossed a few rocks. Rich was bestowed with the title of Uncle Rich, formally bringing him into the fold whether he likes it or not. Great, great trip. Looking forward to hopefully seeing you all again at the SOI openings this winter.
