What a fantastic night for the Eddie Hughes Memorial at Fraser Shores Maryborough Speedway last night. Some of the fastest racing seen at the track in several years seen side by side racing in all classes. Compact Speedcars turned it on in their return with a reverse grid final which saw a close finish. But it was locals who stole the show with Josh Arthur taking the win in the Street Stocks and Brendan Bayfield showing a clean pair of heels in the Modified Sedans to take victory. Juniors also turned it on in the 1st round of the Shannons Stars Series with Casey Collins leading all the way until a small mistake in the final lap saw Ardie Jonic take the wil. Eddies family were on hand to present the trophies in what was and emotional night for the family.
