What a fine afternoon for a walk after work - thank you, Leslie and Susan and assorted dogs! Clue-kitty and I shared a can of tuna for supper since I had a big lunch at the Mexican Restaurant (celebrating our directors birthday - happy day, Julie Walters-Steele!). It was fun to make up the guest room, in anticipation of a visit from my very, very dear pal Lisa Hollingsworth-Segedy! And now I must check on eBay - and work on my part for the career fair at a local intermediary school (students 4th through 7th grade). Hopefully I can convey the wonder, power, and magic of writing....while avoiding their questions about income producing -ha! Actually, I love to tell success stories and have several good ones about writer friends. And its been good for me to dig out some old newspaper articles I wrote years ago, some poetry, details of writing workshops in four different states - and works in progress. Any of you ever worked a career fair?!
