What a fun Friday night gig at Higher Grounds Coffee House - TopicsExpress

What a fun Friday night gig at Higher Grounds Coffee House tonite--place was packed, ran out of chairs--even devolved into a (wonderfully) corny singalong as the end neared...I had a couple guys come up and sing harmony, including the smooth-voiced Don Lamp, and I had the great pleasure to welcome the fab classical guitar playing son of Kaarin Elizabeth, Kubrick...I asked Kubrick to please come again, and he said hed be happy to, and next time hell being his electric, and hell do some metal--Im ready--were all ready...such a great night, with the apparent-sisters Rachel Mk Torrey and the aforementioned Kaarin dancing up a rhythmic storm...my demanding sister Sue and her conniving cohorts brought the lyrics to American Pie which Id been able to avoid playing, as I didnt know those dread lyrics, so I acquiesed and be dog if EVERYBODY in the whole damn place didnt already know the words!! sheesh...I did get to yodel an upbeat rendition of Blue Moon of Kentucky--I think Im starting to get it--if you dont care AT ALL what you sound like and can completely let go, then the yodeling appears...thanks Idy for such sweet occasions...it fills my heart...
