What a fun night. It was loud, crazy and fun. I LOVE this tree, because not only does it hold the ornaments that my mother-in-law, Carol Batchelor has given us every year since we were married, but it also holds the ornaments that my kids have made for us through the years. We dont just put the ornaments on the tree, we talk about them all and walk down memory lane together (or laugh as Eli swears that every single ornament was one he made or that grandma gave him, even when they are dated years before he was born or has a picture of Sarah stuck to it...every. single. one). THIS is what starts the season for my family. Some of my fondest memories as a mother are from the night we put up our tree. I hope my kids have the same special memories. Either way, I take a thousand pictures so I can force them to remember something! Merry Christmas, all!
