What a gorgeous day it was today! Temperatures almost hit 50 degrees F (16 hectares), and the sun put a beating on the snow, starting the spring melt beautifully. Feeling optimistic and putting aside my bulging disk, I drove to Farmington for some light but desperately needed food shopping. On the way back, I stopped ever so briefly at the north end of Rangeley Lake to take a couple of quick snapshots. And locked myself out of the car. I called Sue, who hopped in her car, 30 minutes away, to rescue me. It was just warm enough that I chose not to go to the nearest house for warmth. And it was just cold and breezy enough that by the time she arrived, I was frozen solid, especially since I was wearing only jeans and a polo shirt. I am such a moron. But you knew that.
