What a grand September this is turning out to be! The mist & cold nip in the air in the mornings and the nights drawing in fast – The beautiful sunshine in the day and that harvest full moon last night with the trees starting to turn colour– it’s a wonderful time of the year :) Well, what’s new mid-week here at Wyreside? Glad 3 and C scale (again) have been out of Wyre lake at 35.4 and 34 caught by Rob Hopkins and Callum Reid respectively – well done lads. S2 and S1 are still producing well after the match last weekend - which was a great success, once again thanks to all concerned that supported the event. The boys are making the most of this fabulous weather, strimming, hedging and painting keeping the estate looking pristine and we are also getting excited about starting the new seasonal caravan pitches and electric upgrade later this year. I have ordered some more carp this morning, which will be arriving in October and are to be placed in Fox’s lake again. The 200 we stocked last November are going great guns and apparently ‘fight like hell’ so the coarse anglers and members tell us. This time there will be more commons than mirrors so we will balance things out from last years delivery but we hope that in a few years time they will become fighting fit monsters - which our customers have come to expect!
