What a great day! Lyn Davis and I saved a turtle. I had been seeing a turtle the last few weeks continually try to cross a street from a small pond to a fenced area. He would eventually go back to the small pond because he could not get through the fence. Normally I would have brought to the side he wanted to go but again the fence was there. I was also afraid if we left him he would eventually get run over. So the decision was to move him to the canal behind my house. It was a short distance from where he was. We transported him in my little red wagon. We then placed him on the grass. It did not take him long to make a beeline for the water. Was this the best thing to do, I am not sure but the alternative would have been worse.
