What a great day was had by all who attended the “Back to Basics” training day at the beautiful “Serendipity”. A huge thank you to Lorretta Payne for a fantastic venue, and Malcolm Rose for the kind donation of his cattle. The instructors for the day our Vice President Ricky Hopf, Sue & Dave Williams did a wonderful job. Dave shared his cutting knowledge instructing each rider individually working their horses on the mechanical cow while Ricky helped people understand the finer skills of working cattle on foot in the yards with his trusty gate man Snow Deaves. Sue explained the finer points of using leg aids and working as one with your horse. A big thank you to Amy & Maxine for keeping everybody fed throughout the day. With the awesome “Penrose Prime Meats” snag’s. Kindly donated by our President the “little local butcher” Our wonderful Treasurer Warren Ryan for holding the shop front. All in all a relaxing educational day with lots of positive feedback. THANKS AGAIN TO ALL WHO HELPED OUT.
