What a great day yesterday was. Left early in the AM to travel to Springfield with Gabbie, Ashley and Kendra to present out plan for Camp Latonka to GSMH Boar of Directors. On our journey as we are discussing our plan and its presentation a large balk eagle crosses the highway in front of us and soars near the vehicle for a few minutes, I tell my companions, We got this we are soaring with the eagles, It was an awesome sight. We arrive our destination and present our plan, Kendra and Ashley worked hard on this and Kendra did a great job during the presentation. The Board approves our plan! YEAH!!! We decide to enjoy a great meal afterwards before leaving Springfield and I had the privilege of eating with 7 great Girl Scout alumni one of which was my daughter. The journey home was near uneventful, until a large doe decided to cross our path, Gabbie screams I swerve the deer stops and all is well except the 2 passengers in the back complain of whiplash among the giggles of omg! I would like to also thank everyone who worked on this and make it happen. I am always amazed of what can take place when a group of dedicated volunteers work together for a common cause. It was a tremendous effort that has paid off. Thank you to the Board of Directors and Anne Soots of GSMH for their part in making this take place. THANK YOU to all
