What a great melody of many songs about a very large state. Many folks will say that Texans are obnoxiously proud of their state and I say well yes. We pretty much have it all in Texas; beautiful coast, Mountains, foothills, prairie, pine forests, rain forests, deciduous forests, scrub post oak forests, mixed forests, scrub dwarfed tree belts with oak, mountain cedar, mesquite and other native species, desert, coastal pampas, Cyprus swamps and bayous. Texas has seven distinct regional areas with 9 regional weather zones. Within Texas it can be minus 10 degrees in the Panhandle of Texas and 85 degrees in Port Arthur on the same day. In Dallas which is on the geographically and geologically significant Blackland Prairie of Texas it can be 85 degrees in December and snow the next day. If the United States is the great melting pot then Texas is even more so with a very diverse population from every part of the globe. Texas is the worlds strongest economy in spite of the fact that the United States in 2014 is the worlds most Business Hostile government. One last thing the Cowboys are not Americas team, they are not even Texas team but win or lose, suck or shine they are my team and oh yes Mexicos team! How about them Cowboys!
