What a great night last night. I had the extreme pleasure of playing at church twice with the incomparable Mary Ann O’Brien. The 5:30 service will go down as one I dont think I could ever forget. The singing duo of Rachel Waldman and Caitlin Potter wowed the entire congregation with some stunning preludes and harmonies throughout the Mass. I need to find a way to record this duo next year. What is even better? I got to play with my awesome choir!! I wouldnt trade them for the world!! Four-part harmonies, solo pieces, songs in Polish, Silent Night in 5 languages?. Nothing is beyond them! My thanks to my cantors Holly Frame, Mark Frame, Elisa Palmarini, Marilyn Webster, Brandon Frame, for their tireless work all year, and to Jon Branca for his great prelude. Also thanks to my awesome guitarist Rich Lacey, who constantly has to deal with me changing keys just prior to playing a song. I also would like to thank the rest of the choir: Steve, Dennis, Mary, Michelle, Nora Sanson Koch, Terry, Mary Ann Ashton, Judy, Delores, Stan, Tim OBrien and anyone else Ive forgotten. I cant believe all of these people put up with my unorganization, mind-changing, lack of professional choir directing experience and total laid-back attitude. Merry Christmas to my entire Resurrection family!!!
