What a great night of singing and support last night! Congratulations to all of the 10 finalists of Season 5 Ernies Singing Showdown! There were only 3 spots to award for the top scores, and it was a very difficult night for the judges as every performance was amazing, and every one of you should be proud! The audience votes were added to the judges total scores for the night and Wendy Mendelson was our grand prize winner. Wendy took $600 in cash and gift certificates with her performances of Al Green’s Let’s Stay Together and Royals by Lorde. Great job Wendy! Francis Zagarrigo was first runner up and winner of the $250 prize, and Joanna took 2nd runner up for the $150 prize. The other 7 contestants took home $25 in Ernies Gift Certificates. Photos from last night and from the last 6 weeks of the season will be posted shortly-feel free to tag yourselves as well as post ones that your fans may have taken. We thank each and every one of you for sharing your talent and your love for singing with us and the courage to perform in front of the judges each and every week-we are all amazed by your talents and energy that you brought to this season. Singers, we hope to see you and hear more of your singing at Ernies now that season 5 is over-come on in any night of the week! Of course Season 6 auditions are right around the corner ,starting on January 7th, and anyone can audition for the exception of 1st place winners from any previous season.
