What a great night with my brother Matt Cleveland at the Merle Haggard show!! I counted it up and it makes the 9th time Ive got to see my all time favorite singer and the living legend perform. Merle Haggard got sick about 2 hours before the show and he was horse but handled it amazingly. He said, Im Merle Haggard and I got the Arkansas crud!! But Im gonna sing for ya anyway! Its highly contagious and yall will probably all have it by the time the show is over!! To top it off I hopped on stage and got a pic with Ben Haggard after the show!! Proud to have him as friend and had opportunities to chat with him now and then for years since I think he was about 15. He is 21 now and will carry on the Haggard legacy for many many years to come!!!! Not to mention he has recorded a couple of his daddys songs already on a brand new Merle Haggard tribute album that is out now called Working Mans Poet that also features Garth Brooks, Toby Keith, and several other artists.
