What a great successful weekend, it sure was a nice turn out as Search and Rescue held a fundrasier. Thank you to our wonderful staff who volunteered to help sell raffle tickets, Peggy Williams for volunteering with making sure everyone had a door prize ticket and she also baked some cakes and cinnamon rolls to donate to SAR and the cultural dance group. Marianne Williams made some homemade doughnuts and donated for the cultural dance group to sell. The local band, Howard, Albert, Sam Shavings, Chuck and Ira for volunteering their time to make this fiddle happen. Most of all thanks to all the residents of Mekoryuk who attended this event, I apologize if Ive left anyone out. Lastly, THANK YOU TO NIMA STORE INC for the donation of 40 gallons heating fuel and 40 gallons of motor gas. THANK YOU TO CITY OF MEKORYUK for donating water haul, washer use and dryer use. We hope to be doing another SAR fundrasier, to support our volunteers with what they need when WE as a community need them.
