What a heist - watch how all 3 hawkers on the side of the road are all working together to smash and grab from motorists at in intersection along Vanguard road, Alberton. The first guy was not so lucky as he approaches what is either a Civic or Corolla at the front of the queue as the motorists bag was presumably in the boot. Then the second one hits the lady in the silver corolla 2 cars behind the first car and grabs her bag whilst the 3rd attacker hits the red 3 series BMW just to the right of the second attack... I plea with all motorists, keep all valuables (handbags, laptops, gym bags, i-pads - anything that may cause you to be a target by these violent offenders) in your boot. Have only your cellphone with you and keep it between your legs so that if they come near you, you can just close it between your legs, Keep your windows properly shut at all times and your doors locked. I say violent even though nobody was harmed, one can see how adamant the third attacker is and the savage way he attacks the vehicle. I have been in 3 smash and grabs all prior to 2007, the last 2 I had nothing valuable in the car but a kitbag with dirty clothes and the other a bag - that they thought was a purse which I kept all my slips in.Since that day I have not recovered from the trauma of having their arms, or in one case his whole body in my car and his head between my legs looking for something to steal. I keep nothing in my car. Men, I see often driving with their windows open on their cellphones and have witnessed numerous of these hawking thieves grab their phones in broad daylight, or rip chains off ladies and mens necks then do the one thing they were taught well..run like hell from your crime scene!! Also, stop supporting them. Do not even entertain them. They are only their to steal. If they wanted to earn a living they would asking for work. I do not support any of them. Please stand together so we can get them off our streets. I am busy with the SAP regarding getting them off our intersections. I cannot believe it is legal to stand in traffic and sell your wares or jaywalk along our highways. Our insipid Police Commissioner knows the stats of smash and grabs in the country... yet probably posts it on her facebook and then LIKES it... as she does not have them removed. Because the SAP do nothing, they are able to leave rocks in the road on highways and dark roads at night, which if they do not kill us.. they rob us. Please be aware, be safe and remember among what we are living - criminals.
