What a horrible man, I seriously couldnt believe someone so heartless and cold could even live with themselves. On the verge of tears and with all the venom I could muster I spat out, I hope you go to Hell! My dear, he said in that haughty carefree tone that reinforced his inhumanity, if God truly wanted me dead he could strike me down with his proverbial lightning and make your insignificant day. With that, he shut the door of his over priced sports car and started it with a soft rumble from the engine. Something happened in that moment but my mind could not seem to wrap itself around the series of events. I found myself sitting on the ground about 5 feet from where I had just previously been, my ears buzzing, with no actual sound I could make out even though I could see things happening dreamily in front of me. The car was now in nearly two pieces, most of the middle section gone, the edges smoking, and a trail of debris through the sidewalk and into the building sporting a sizeable jagged hole. He was gone, just like that. In all the history of man I had never heard of a meteor or whatever piece of space junk that possibly was, taking out a person! I briefly wondered if my hearing would ever return or if I could even stand. Well played karma, well played I thought. Proverbial lightning indeed. I actually laughed out loud. I think this would make a great beginning to my book lol!
