What a load of nonsense from Health Minister Dr S Subramaniam. He had to ask Sime Darby whether they were burning when there are satellite pictures with pin-point GPS coordinates as proof. “Whether it is Indonesian, Singaporean or Malaysian companies that are the culprit, the burning is happening on Indonesian soil and under Indonesian law. These are man-made disasters, & the onus is on the Indon govt to stop pointing fingers and take immediate steps to resolve the issue. We ask Indonesia to be more responsible in this matter, to take immediate steps so this can be controlled. Every year we face this issue, it is not a natural disaster, this is man-made and Indonesia must be more firm in handling this,” Subramaniam. Well done… he’s shoved everything back to the Indons, thus absolving Malaysian liability. But he forgot that palm oil is the Indon’s rice bowl now. Furthermore, Malaysians are in protest & demonstration mood. People could march right up the culprid’s doorsteps, crash thru’ barriers, camp on their grounds, boycott & whack the hell out of them. The culprits should acknowledge that their primitive & cheap ways of doing things to the detriment of others are no longer acceptable & tolerated! If the Indons refuses to take action… we might as well start the fire at the culprit’s doorsteps right in Malaysia. Like Anwar said… We cannot afford to lose steam now!
