What a long, strange trip its been. Exactly 10 years ago today around 5pm EST, I walked out of my last office job to pursue a full-time career in voiceovers. I had no idea what I was in store for.....I was mostly excited, but admittedly, partly TERRIFIED. I had an apartment and car payment, with little cushion to fall back on. Had I known what amazing things were in store for me, I would have done it sooner, but the universe has its way of doing things in its own time. A thank you to my supporters....friends and family telling me I was insane to leave a perfectly good day job but still stood by me and watched me start and continue this adventure. But a thank you also to the naysayers......your words still ring in my head; and I just smile. All the sacrifices; all the years of only window shopping for new clothes, all the late nights, all the embarrassing personal loan requests, all the mooched meals from my then nearby parents Barbara C Bauer and Paul F. Bauer (thank you!), and all the money of my own I spent getting to this point.....it was ALL worth it. Dont give up on your dreams. I can still proudly say....I love my job. Heres to another 10 years!
