What a memorable night the family had together last night!!! Before we said our blessing, for the food we were about to eat. We all gathered together and my youngest daughter said that we were going to start this Thanksgiving off - alittle different from the others - that her hubby had something to say - my son n law gave a testimony of where the Lord has brought him from and how thankful he (and we) should be - with a room full of people - all whom are different in their own special way - we are family and we are truly blessed :) he recited a few verses from the Bible - Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To chief singer on my stringed instruments.(hab3:17-19) then he shared a few things - tears started flowing from a lot of our faces - of course cause we are a crying family ;) I loved when he said I thank God that He has brought me from where I was to where I am today and for his salvation!! Then we all went around the room - each one of us and said at least one thing that we are thankful for - well needless to say - there were a lot of things we were ALL thankful for!!! From family, friends, health, animals, turkey, new church families and a place to worship the Lord as we use too!! oh now lets not forget Izzy Webber (thats Edens!!) to our salvation and assurance that Jesus Christ has redeemed our lives!!! I even remembered in Job where he said - the LORD hath gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD!!! Through all our trials and through all our persecution - through all our sufferings, hardships, all obstacles in life that we all face - daily - we are still alive and breathing - and that God is still God - watching over us!!! We are under His care and sheltered wings of grace and mercy!!! Whatever we have BEEN through - He was there all the time - getting us through it all!!! To be so thankful for grace - to be wrapped up in that blanket of grace - is more than we could ever give Him praise for - for all the mercy that He bestows upon us - we do not deserve - but HE gives it any way!!! He has seen each single one of us - that was in that room - THROUGH it all - His love endures forever!!! His blessings are still being poured out on to this crazy upside down family - and we give HIM all the glory and praise for it all!!! The LORD is there to be with us through it all - the LORD is there to bless us all from this day on!!! From generation to generation - God is still faithful to us all!! Let us always place Him first in our lives and in everything else that we face!! We all have the wonderful truth that NO ONE can ever out-give God!!! Those who put God first and give Him their best will receive Gods sweet blessings - abundantly!!! All I can say to that is Let the rivers flow - let the rivers flow!!! To God be the Glory for great things He hath done and is still doing to this day and forever more!!!!!
