What a night! The full mixed bag for the 89a team and have learnt a lot from these last two nights. Grid draws for the NZ Champs finals were 18, 8 and 5 and boy was it crazy. Heat one off 18 and cars were bouncing off each other left right and Centre. Got my way up to 15th where I finished. Heat two off 8 and once again got driven into by 67s bunter blowing another left rear Tyre and bending the rim again... circulated around the pole line to crawl home in 17th. Heat three off grid 5 and after some crazy driving with cars being rolled pushed and hit I found myself in 3rd for half of the race before slipping wide in one corner to drop back and eventually finishing in 10th position. For the 25 lap feature we started off grid 12 with hard charging cars all around. We were pedaling well and moved up to 11th position where we stayed untill lap 17 when the radius rod mount mount snapped off the front of the axle causing the car to turn sharp right and into the wall. Bashed my knee on the steering box then the car caught on fire so was an interesting race. Came home in 15th which overall I was very happy with. My first NZ champs and my 4th meeting just unfortunately picked up a bit of damage
