What a remarkable story this turned out to be, thanks to the extraordinary actions of Mountain View Veterinary Hospital and Langley Animal Protection Society (LAPS). We are SO fortunate to have a vet who is willing to get up at 12am, drive for 40 minutes each way, do an exam at LAPS, then take Money to her office and do emergency surgery with the LAPS staff as her assistants! And LAPS staffers have been up for the last 48 hours so Money could be surrounded by people she knew and trusted throughout her extremely long labor. And thats all it took to end up with seven little miracles, and one healthy, happy mama! Im SO happy you guys were able to see some of the amazing behind-the-scenes people who make LAPS such a special place. As Ive said many times, if I could strap a camera on every one of them, youd be amazed at the incredible things they do everyday for the comfort and well-being of our animals. Truly inspiring.
