What a shame. I write the following upon hearing such: I heard that the local church in North Tonawanda, New York, First Baptist Church that I was baptized in and was where my first membership was has closed its doors. I remember the day when the church was overflowing with the presence of and the people of the LORD; as well as, when people were being saved, baptized, and discipled. This also brought to my memory the local Church in Chattanooga TN where I was a youth director and called as a missionary to NYC that closed its doors years ago. As well as the mega church of Highland Park Baptist Church that I was member while a student at Tennessee Temple during the last days before it all went south and the school is nothing compared to what it was in my day and the church has closed its doors, change its name, positions and practices, and is no longer as it was in my time. I say all that to remind my readers what the LORD said to the church at Ephesus: (4) Nevertheless I have somewhat against thee, because thou hast left thy first love (The LORD Jesus Christ). (5) Remember therefore from whence thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works (The spiritual and scriptural BASICS.); or else I will come unto thee quickly, and will remove thy candlestick out of his place (shut the doors), except thou repent. Revelation 2:4-5 May God’s people humble themselves before the LORD, remember where they have fallen, repent, return to their first love, the LORD Jesus Christ, and respond to doing, by faith, the BASICS for spiritual growth and development. Therefore, I offer what is called Back to the BASICS Conference (from a three to seven day meeting); whereas, time allows as many as possible of the BASICS are spiritually and scripturally emphasized. As well as, I offer free email literature on the subject; as well as, I will be offering four volumes of the Twelve BASICS in a teacher and a student (fill in the blank) format that can be used in a personal counseling situation, discipleship program, or group recovery program (like RU) over a year’s period of time with four lessons on each of the twelve BASICS. These BASICS booklets can also be used as Sunday school material.
