What a sick and disheartening response from the White House on the latest terrorist attack in Jerusalem, implying a moral equivalency in the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. President Obama did condemn the killings in the synagogue. But at the White House he later said, “Too many Israelis have died; too many Palestinians have died ... At this difficult time, I think it’s important for both Palestinians and Israelis to try to work together to lower tensions and reject violence.” He added: “We have to remind ourselves that the majority of Palestinians and Israelis overwhelmingly want peace.” The Israeli people want peace. The Palestinian leadership does not; they want the destruction of Israel. Israelis condemn terrorism in all its forms. Palestinians are handing out candy and celebrating in the streets. Both sides have been victim to terrorism but when Israelis murder the innocent they are resoundingly condemned and usually prosecuted. When the Palestinians engaged in terrorism, they are praised and almost never prosecuted by the PA.
