What a strangely wonderful weekend. After spending time with my children and my friend Jodie Mullin (Hi Jodie!) I got to think about Gods mysterious ways. I have been challenged with a lack of transportation for several days and Jodie really stepped up and took care of me unselfishly, getting me through the weekend. I was therefore able to spend more time with her and her daughter than expected. Her daughter and my daughter seem to enjoy each others company and thats awesome. Meantime my wonderful ex wife Susan....yes, my ex wife is wonderful, came all the way up to Maine to pick up my kids after their extended visit here. (Since I couldnt do the drive to the halfway point to their home in Massachussetts.) Then I got to go to a meeting for a support group for the fire dept and it went very well. Again, I got there with the help of Jodie. This was important since I am president of the group. Finally home, I was able to enjoy a bottle of wine (in a wine glass my ex wife just gave me as an unexpected gift, did I mention she was wonderful?) and make supper. During this tiime I had really good conversations with my buddy and paramedic and training officer (AND BRAND NEW DADDY!) Adam Mason, as well as a conversation with my fire chief regarding him being the dunk tank target during a fundraiser for the fire department. Seems hes a good sport!!!! Finally ended the night by sharing my supper with Daisy Mae, the little beagle who retired with me in my life when Gabbie Rae and family moved on to L.A. She was very happy to help me eat my meatballs. Now for some music. Love is, after all, an action. This day was full of it. Now time for some music. ♥ The Musical Medic
