What a sweet dog Kierra is. I just wish I could get her to eat dog food. She has no interest in dry food and very little in wet food. I am so confused as to what to do that is best for her and will still allow her to loose weight. I have tried mixing Lean Ground Turkey into her food and she just picks it out and leaves the dry. She has responded to the Weruva canned food, but I know in my heart it is not what she needs to be eating and I am only giving her a very small amount. The good news is she does not beg for food or eat the cat food. My friend Caroline Gunther who owns my most favorite pet boutique in Hendersonville NC, Wag! A Unique Pet Boutique (check out her virtual tour of the shop) has suggested a raw food diet. That is going to be my next attempt at getting her to eat a healthy diet high in protein, low in fat. But ultimately I know she needs to eat dry food in case her forever home does not want to feed a raw diet. We are waddling and rolling on our walks. Each day she walks a little bit more before she can ride in the stroller and then after a little rest, she walks some more. She does love the stroller :-)
