What a sweetheart!!! Former family pet. Sweet and very calm.A volunteer writes: I felt for Suzy when I saw her being brought to the care center. Calm, docile, a no fuss girl who was part of a home most likely still the day she was found as a stray. She is well nourished, her coat is clean and feels like silk, a mammary gland curtain is the witness of many litters and years of service...Suzy gets up slowly when she sees me at her door. She is leashed so easily and walks peacefully by my side. I barely know a dog is at the end of my rope....She eliminates as soon as we leave the care center, not on the side walk but in the curb. All together, Suzy seems like quite a well mannered and trained girl. As I sat on a porch, Suzy settles by my side. She seemed aloof at the begining of our time together. She warmed up quickly as she realized I could be a friend. She squeezed tight against me and kissed my face. I made a comfy bed for her. When I came back to say good by at the end of my shift, I found her sound asleep snuggled around a soft pillow.....At peace. I am looking forward to see Suzi again and mostly hope that someone will see her inner beauty, her good behavior, her gentle manners and open his or her home and heart to this former family dog. Suzi is at the Manhattan Care Center
