What a terrific song, honouring our troops! “Raise Your Bottle” is a tribute to warriors of past and present. For all the heroes and sheepdogs who never made it home, for those who did and for those who are still away fighting and putting their lives on the line; fending off the **monsters and keeping as many as possible away from our shores — this song is for them. We thank you for your service. (**Side note: though not related to this post, we feel it is valuable to mention nonetheless. We do not use the term wolves and though we recognise it is just a figure of speech and one that is commonly used in military culture, we also believe it has become an unfair and fear-mongering one (and most likely, without meaning to). A careless myth that paints an untrue and misleading characteristic of the wolf species. Considering we are also vocal advocates for the Canis species and subspecies, we therefore choose our words carefully when it comes to education, awareness and protection at any opportune moment. So please keep this in mind when you come across the term, keeping wolves at bay - they have more than earned that respect and do not deserve to be compared to the real monsters out there).
