What a test match! What a game,it was. After such a long time we witnessed a thriller,it had everything..emotions,excitement, aggression,records broken,records made,injuries,heated exchange of words,good as well as bad decisions by umpires,close encounters,bouncers,bowlers hitting 150kmph,partnerships, bowling spells,intelligent captaincy,evolution of Virat kohli as a mature test player,as a leader and at the end it was an exceptional performance by both the teams! Australians deserve to be applauded for their effort,its hard for any team to put up a performance like that when your teammate lost his life just 2 weeks before the game! We get to see very few games in which both the teams play so well that both deserve to win,and this game was only possible cz of efforts of players like David warner, Michael clarke,Nathon lyon,Mitchell marsh,Mitchell johnson,Steven smith,Murli Vijay,Ajinkya rahane,Cheteshwar pujara,Ishant sharma,Virat kohli. Despite having played really well we lost,but one important thing is that,after the retirement of players like kumble,ganguly,tendulkar,laxman,dravidn players like sehwag,gambhir,zaheer struggling hard to make it to the national side due to whatever reasons,our performance at the test level has deteriorated and looking at the form of our test team in the past 2-3 years,i can say that,atleast in this match, we saw,after such a long time , a team which is capable of giving a tough fight to the opponent. Kohli should be given captaincy for the entire series not only bcz the boy deserves it but also keeping in mind the future captaincy prospects of our cricket team,this series will provide him enough exposure that would be helpful for our team in future whenever Dhoni bids farewell to the game.
