What a truly amazing Superhero/Princess Christmas Party the children enjoyed this afternoon! The entertainers - new to us but highly recommended by TDN who used them last year - were absolutely brilliant! They (Batwoman and Elsa!) involved every child (including our babies) in fantastic activities that kept them all transfixed throughout the hour-long show and we cannot recommend them highly enough! They are not cheap as they send 2 entertainers and provide a lot of equipment, but it was money very well spent! After an early party tea, it was very nice to welcome so many mummies and daddies, plus older and younger siblings, who had come along to see Father Christmas - the REAL one - giving out his gifts to the children. Some of the older siblings came with the hope that FC had a small something in his sack for them, as they knew from past experience that he usually did, and the sense of anticipation from them was very obvious! Those who had not been to one of our Christmas parties before were visibly shocked, surprised - and pleased - to hear him calling them up to recieve their own small gift! Even the little baby siblings had a gift in Father Christmas sack - he never forgets anyone (except of course Margaret, who never manages to get onto his nice list!) We have attached a couple of photos for now (and please forgive us for them being of Margarets grandchildren, as we do not have time tonight to go through all of the very many pics that Laura took) and we will post others when we have time - hopefully tomorrow!
