What a week. 2 horses completed at my first Burghley and they both gave be amazing rides XC. They both did personal bests in the dressage. Cross country the two of them gave me memorable rides with Xam jumping clear and Dromgurrihy Blue just picking up 20 penalties when he locked onto the widest part of the fence so in his mind he jumped clear. Rocky jumped really well today but sadly today wasnt Xams day with a few more rails then I wouldve liked but 3 years ago never would I have believed that horse would jump me clear around one of the toughest four stars in the world. I was the highest placed under 25 rider too. Ive learnt a huge amount this week and cannot wait until the next big one. Tristan Hudson has done an amazing job this week keeping both horses looking so well and he even won the grooms prize for the best turned out horse for Xam at Burghley! I cannot thank him enough and India Thomson and Toni Dalling who really are amazing in giving there time to help me. Sorry guys but weve got to do it all again at Badminton next year hopefully!
