What a week, but then again we could very easily describe every week that way. Not only has Malaysia been unable to locate a missing plane it seems their competence has gone missing as well. In the meantime the Popes patience was surely stretched by our very own intellectually bereft POTUS, whose only observation of the Roman Coliseum was “This is as big as Wrigley Stadium”. At least for the time being we do not have to worry about haircut requirements as do the poor people of North Korea. How is it that no one has excised that postulant tick from the underbelly of the Pacific Rim? What happened to the good ole days when Tricky Dick would have just bombed them back to the Stone Age? The good news is the CTA is not only hiring but they are offering Escalator drop off service to O’Hare passengers, nothing like convenience to help boost the economy. The weather has not been much different either; March not only came in like a Lion, it seems it is going out like a Lion with a mouthful of lamb & mint jelly. All is not lost though, the Amalgamated Brotherhood of Collegiate Lineman will festoon our televisions this fall, although I’m not sure how they will react when a turnover forces them to play defense? Could be a whole new game with brand new penalties; Grievance Filed - 15 yards & $10,000 Guess we will leave those decisions to the creators of Obamacare, which surprisingly celebrated its 6 millionth customer just before the deadline! And to think we doubted. My only regret is that I will unplug from the leaky sphincter of social media over the weekend and will undoubtedly be forced to catch up to this runaway train on Monday.
