What a weekend for the Laurels Trampoline and Tumbling Competitors! The interclub athletes set the tone at the invitational competition with all three of them bringing home medals!! Symantha Welsh finished 2nd in the intermediate women’s category. Jay Norrie topped the Advanced Men’s category with a gold medal and his teammate Halley Baker also brought home a gold from the Advanced Women’s category! The Provincial Team performed at the top of their game this weekend, achieving their best personal placings for the 2013-2014 season! In trampoline: Paulena Moote took the Bronze medal in the Provincial 2 13-14 women’s category! Taryn Thompson placed fifth all around in the Provincial 1 13-14 women’s category. She accomplished some of the clubs highest recorded scores with an average score on her compulsory over 9.0. Cassandra Ranger had a personal best by placing 10th in the Provincial 2 15+ category. Breaking the top ten in this difficult competitive grouping signifies a huge improvement for Cassandra. Sebastian Larochelle placed fourth in the Provincial 4 15+ men’s category. In Tumbling: Emilie Honse had a strong showing in the Provincial 3 15+ women’s category. She was ranked 6th going into her finals pass and managed to put in a solid performance that earned her a fifth placing! Way to go Laurels! #GymZoneTodayAthleteForLife
