What a weird mix of happy and sad on this September morn. (Cue Neil Diamond, or Try To Remember here!) ... Well, I was driving in with a few things on my mind, including the realization that it was FORTY YEARS AGO THIS WEEK that I started a three-year Communication Arts Program at Mohawk College in Hamilton. (Thanks David Jay Boyd for the reminder, and Mike Occomore for the picture .. Ill share that later!) Actually, I wasnt even thinking of RADIO at that time. I was more interested in Print Advertising, or even being a TV-Camera Operator... ....and I CERTAINLY wasnt interested in GOD at ALL back then. But as I look back, it is SO plain to see that God was interested in ME. Deciding to major in Radio Broadcasting came totally out of the blue in 1974 ... but today it all made sense. And through so many twists and turns in this life of mine, (Im not always the best poster boy for Christianity!), I can say that I have definitely seen the Hand of God in more ways than I can say. Will I have ANOTHER 40 years?? Probably not. (Hey, if I live as long as my DAD did, I have less than TEN!!)... But whatever the future holds ... ...I know Who holds the future!
