What a whirlwind this auctioning experiment has been! I never doubted the fish themselves, but I had no idea if there would be any interest in the by-the-pair auction offers, let alone non-purebreeding ones. I put a lot of time and effort into making the sales pages and I dont have to tell you how long it took to get all those photos, all the while wondering: is this even worth it? The answer appears a resounding YES. Mork and Mindy are the last still listed with 18 minutes left, and theyre at $30. But more than money Im excited just to see that unique guppies can be shared in unique ways. I will definitely do another round of this soon, and I hope this encourages others to try various approaches for selling their fish.
