What a wonderful day. We attended the Simcoe Sports Hall of Recognition Reunion today honouring all Simcoe teams who have won a provincial, national or international championship. I was a proud Mama as both kids were recognized - Mac OBA championship and Ali 3 Provincials and 1 national cheerleading title. My Father & his vision impaired curling team and my Father In Laws Simcoe Gunners 1952 Hockey team were also recognized. It has been pointed out that Rob, My Mom & I are the only losers in the family that do not have a provincial title. (Rob has one in Haldimand County so it didnt count.) Aparently I am still a loser even if I did create 2 winners. Anyway, it was a really nice tribute to our local winners and socialized with some people I have not seen in a really long time. A lot of work went into this event. Waterford will be next years honourees.
