What a wonderful end-of-season meeting this morning with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources sea turtle collaborative! Our #GeorgiaCoast is fortunate to have such a dedicated team of researchers, scientists, educators, and resource managers working every day to protect our threatened and endangered sea turtles - including teams with Wildlife Resources Division - GADNR, Caretta Research Project, Cumberland Island National Seashore, Georgia Sea Turtle Center, Tybee Island Marine Science Center, UGA Warnell School of Forestry and Natural Resources, and many more. Three cheers for a statistically significant increasing nesting trend in Georgia, 1,200 nests in 2014, fascinating genetics research on nesting females, and a relatively low stranding season! #TeamTurtle #onto2015 #questforthenecklace
