What a wonderful way to start Spring! Barry and I spent a couple of nights at the Coast - Pacific City, Inn at Cape Kiwanda. Beautiful weather. It could not have been better. The Inn is a very gracious place and extremely pet-friendly. When we checked in, they greeted us and Doopsie with a soft throw to use so that Doospie could get onto the bed or furniture and a towel to wipe the sand from her everywhere. We thanked them, but refused the dog biscuits they offer because Doopsie just doesnt seem to like biscuits. She did love the sand and all of the attention of people she met. Our friends who arrived from Washington, Vancouver, BC and from just south of where we were staying all gathered for a great time of riding their jetskis in the surf, playing on the sand, and just having a wonderful time of being together. Friday night a bunch of us had dinner at Los Caporales in Pacific City. Food and service were both great. It is one of our must stop places every time we are in town. Breakfast on Saturday was at the Grateful Bread which is hard to beat anywhere or by anyplace. Their freshly baked breads and quality food is scrumptious. Saturday night was a potluck where we all gathered, ate too much of good home-cooked food, and visited for hours. Love this bunch. The package of food, weather, and great people was an excellent way to ring in the Spring. To those who usually attend, you were missed. Hope you can join us again soon. Maybe the Greyland Open in June or the SurfSlam in September.
