What a wonderfully crazy busy Shelter Sunday! We had a lot of volunteer dog walkers show up, so ALL DOGS at the shelter got walked today. Many dogs got to go on TWO walks. They looked so peaceful and content when I left the shelter. We had THREE dogs reclaimed by owners today. We had THREE dogs adopted today as well as one cat. What a wonderful day! I had a police department call on the way home from the shelter, so picked up the most scraggly, sickly tomcat Ive seen in a while from someone who had just found him and took him to the police department. Hes friendly and unusually marked, so will be pretty, but he has a terrible upper respiratory condition, so much that his eyes are matted shut, horrible ear mites, so much that his ears are black and crusty on the inside and crusty on the outside from scratching at them and some other kind of skin condition going on. Oh joy!
